The Mt Washington Valley Skating Club (MWVSC) was organized after an informational meeting held in March 2001.

The Club was incorporated in the state of New Hampshire and obtained IRS 501(c)(3) status as a non-profit organization.  The MWVSC conducted its first annual meeting and election of officers and board members in May 2001.  The Club submitted copies of its bylaws, articles of incorporation and membership roster to the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) the governing body of figure skating in November of 2001 and received acceptance June 2002 as a provisionary member club.

The United States Figure Skating Association voted and granted Full USFSA Member Club Status to the Mt Washington Valley Club at the Annual Governing Council Meeting, May 2003.
