Welcome to the Mount Washington Valley Skating Club located in the heart of the White Mountains

The mission of the MWVSC is to organize and promote participation in the instruction, training and advancement in all disciplines of the sport of figure skating and to be a dynamic community association increasing interest and development in skating for the general public of the Mount Washington Valley and surrounding area.

SUMMER SKATING LESSONS

The Mount Washington Valley Skating Club is pleased to announce the start of its Summer session skating lessons.  Group lessons for all ages and abilities will be held on Tuesdays beginning 7/7/15.  All classes are taught at the Ham Arena in Conway by Club Coaches, Basic Skills Instructors and Junior Coaches following USFSA curriculums.  The MWV Skating Club truly has lessons for everyone. Children as young as four years old learn how to balance and move on ice in Snow-Plow Sam classes.  Slightly older children may enroll in either Learn to Skate for Hockey, preparing them for many of the areas hockey programs; or enroll in the Basic Eight levels preparing them for the more advanced jumping and spinning skills of Freestyle Skating.  Adult classes are also offered and cater to both first time skaters as well as adults wanting to brush up on skills first learned in childhood.  For more information on the MWV Skating Club or to register for the session call Melody at (603) 662-5672.

A PREDICTION RUN

How it works: Winners are the first five runners to cross the finish line AFTER MIDNIGHT. Course opens at 9:30pm and runners decide when to start running based on their estimate of how long it will take them to cover the 15K (9.3mile) course. (Example: If you think it will take you an hour and 15 minutes to run the course, start running at 10:45pm when the countdown clock at the start reads -1:15:00). To make it fair NO WATCHES OR TIMING DEVICES ALLOWED!  Runners will however be chip timed
